What Are The Testing Capabilities Of CopperPro?

Test Capability:
  • Integrated SmartStrap control for automated, terminated testing.
  • Double-ended same pair testing capability - requires no control pair.
  • AC/DC Voltage, Shorts & Grounds, Opens, Leakage, RFL physical tests.
  • Load Coil, Noise, Loss, SNR, & Longitudinal Balance transmission tests.
  • Impulse Noise test with E,F & G filters*
  • Voiceband (0-20kHz) & Wideband* (10kHz 2 MHz) transmission tests.
  • PSD Mask overlays depicting crosstalk patterns for common interferer types*
  • Automated Dial-up testing, compatible with variety of C.O. tone equipment.
  • Full TDR capability, with Auto-Test waveform interpretation software*
  • Tracing Tone, Monitor, and fully integrated Dial Set operation.
  • Caller ID and Automatic Number ID (ANI) tests.
  • Non-intrusive Footprint Analysis of service type on working pairs*

*Requires Wideband Option Module

As a digital service qualification tool, the CopperPro may be used to verify that the cable pair is suitable for not only voice frequency POTS services such as Caller ID and analog modem data, but also for special services such as DDS, ISDN, T1, E1, HDSL, HDSL2, and ADSL. The CopperPro uses wide-band (10kHz to 2 MHz) loss, Gaussian noise, impulse noise, and crosstalk measurements, as well as load coil detection and location capability, to qualify copper pairs for these high-speed services.
