Global Technology company needs to ensure all locations have access to critical network and applications
A multi-national diversified technology company is on the path to outsourcing 100% of their IT including VoIP and network management. They also rely heavily on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) to manage identity and other requirements. The company always looks to the cloud first when adopting new IT services.
Working with Fluke Networks, they installed TruView Pulse 1000s at 25 locations as a test to monitor access to SaaS applications. The TruView Pulses are very easy to use; requiring no configuration or expensive agent machines. The IT department just sent them to the locations, had someone turn them on, and then they started monitoring access to the critical SaaS applications. With the ease and success of TruView Live with the TruView Pulses, the organization is planning a rollout to all their global locations. As an added benefit of having TruView Pulses in every location, they will be able to monitor the connectivity between any of the locations.
School District needs fast performance from SaaS learning applications to keep students engaged
As K-12 education moves quickly to adopt and leverage online learning experiences, IT departments are faced with new challenges that are often out of their span of control. A large award-winning U.S. Public School District that uses multiple online learning, testing, and classroom management applications faced a challenge in providing expect quality of service for its end-users, their students.
Working with Fluke Networks TruView Live, the school deployed a Virtual Pulse on a classroom machine and ran a test to the SaaS application. The test clearly showed that the delay was occurring after reaching the SaaS application With this information, the IT Manger was able to work with the SaaS provider who identified that within their application, the delay was actually occurring when they went outside to a 3rd party to get the audio file! Once identified, the SaaS provider was able to resolve the problem.
Services Company needs to be aware of when there is a problem anywhere in their network, even with hosted applications
A large multinational electronics manufacturing services company using cloud based applications, infrastructure, and platforms to streamline IT encountered an issue with the service from its SaaS supplier. The hosted service had an outage and notified executives at the manufacturing company before the company’s IT division had even known there was a problem. This led to the appearance that IT was not aware of everything in their own network.
After extensive testing, the company determined that TruView Live gives them the visibility they need to be aware of the status and performance of their entire network and act pro-actively to communicate when there are any problems with the hosted applications. Since this need was identified after their annual IT budget planning, another compelling benefit of TruView Live is that it is sold as a subscription. The subscription can be an operating expense instead of a new capital investment allowing the IT department more flexibility in timing of purchase and increasing deployment, as needed.
Tecnatom Engineers Top Application Performance with Visual TruView™ From Fluke Networks
Tecnatom, based in Madrid, Spain, offers global engineering services to companies involved in the nuclear energy production sector. Since its founding in 1957, the company has grown to more than 750 highly-skilled employees today, delivering innovative solutions to over 1,000 users spread over multiple national and international sites. Because of its growth and the distributed nature of its services, Tecnatom needed a solution that could monitor its systems and accelerate incident resolution. With clients in diverse markets and locations, Tecnatom began searching for an intuitive application and network monitoring solution that was easy to deploy, required little maintenance work, and streamlined technicians' workflow.
Following its deployment, TruView has allowed Tecnatom to drastically improve incident resolution. Diagnosis times have been reduced to just four clicks or 30 seconds. This time savings has increased productivity, not only for users who have seen significant improvements in incident resolution times, but also for technicians who can now quickly identify, diagnose, and address system issues. Being empowered to solve even complex issues quickly and reliably has increased the IT team's confidence, success, and overall reputation in the company.
A Network Testing Tool for Every Tech
As summer draws to a close and students and teachers arrive back on campus ready to dive into another school year, they come back to classrooms already equipped with up-to-date networks and reconfigured technology, courtesy of the technology team at Lebanon R-III School District. Robert Barker, the Enterprise Systems Coordinator at the school district in Lebanon, Missouri, and Lebanon’s team of six IT pros, are responsible for keeping the network up and running for eight schools.
