Industrial Ethernet Marketing Begins on March 25^th, New Industrial Ethernet Products Available in April

As per our strategic initiatives and Policy Deployment related to Industrial Automation, we are proud to announce the launch of our Industrial Ethernet program. This program is the beginning of a larger strategy to grow revenues from the fast-growing Industrial Automation market segment. The launch includes many public facing items that will generate interest and leads, and it includes new products specific to Industrial Ethernet.

Public facing materials available in English on March 25^th. Materials are focused on key messages we heard from industrial customers; “Maximize Your Industrial Ethernet Uptime; Startup Faster. Prevent Downtime. Speed Troubleshooting“.

M12X adapter set for Versiv available early April

M12D-code 2 pair connectors are very popular given their performance in hostile industrial environments. Industry is increasing the use of high-speed applications which require 4 pair M12X-code connectors using Cat6A or Class E_A cable. Fluke Networks now supports M12X cables with the new DSX-CHA-M12-X-S. This model is a set of two M12X adapters for Versiv. Like the M12D, the new M12X supports channel and end-to-end tests. Versiv firmware 6.1 or higher is required for the M12X. Version 6.1 also corrects the wiremap display for PROFINET. 

Industrial Ethernet DSX Kit available the end of April

Over 50% of Industrial Ethernet problems can be traced to cabling. Industrial Ethernet networks tend to make direct connections between industrial devices (like Variable Frequency Drives and Programmable Controllers) and managed and unmanaged industrial switches. Unlike business systems, this industrial topology rarely uses IDFs or Permanent Links. This kit was created to include only the items needed for industrial networks and does NOT include permanent link adapters. 

In addition to great Versiv features, the Versiv Kit offers these key benefits to industrial users.

  • Ability to operate at rated cable speed

The DSX2-5-IE-K1 includes the following items. Versiv Mainframe & Remote, (2) DSX-5000 Copper CableAnalyzer Modules, Set of Cat 6A/Class EA Channel Adapters, Set of M12X adapters, Set of M12D adapters, Reference Module , (2) Headsets, (2) Hand strap, (2) Shoulder Straps, Carry Case, USB Interface Cable, (2) AC Chargers, Integrated Wi-Fi, Statement of Calibration and Getting Started Guide. Since Permanent Link adapters are not included, the Reference Module is used to set-ref.

Demo Units:

M12X demos (set of 2 adapters) will be sent out in several phases. The first phase of demos will ship to key associates in all regions in March. Sales reps may need to share these until the 2^nd phase of demos ships out in late April. The demos list will be published so you know who in your region has a set.

DSX2-5-IE-K1 demos will not be provided given that everyone already has a Versiv and M12D adapters.
