Fiber optics cabling is the core of today's datacom networks. Optical fiber is the predominant media type for mission-critical datacenter links, backbone within buildings, and longer distances for campus networks. As network speeds and bandwidth demands increase, distance and loss limitations have decreased, making fiber optic cabling certification testing more important than ever.

FiberLert™ Live Fiber Detector |
Detects active fiber signals for testing ports, cables and polarity.
- Detects optical power in single-mode and multimode fiber wavelengths (near infrared range 850 to 1625 nm)
- No setup or interpretation needed – light and sound indicate presence of optical signal
- “Non-contact” detector reduces the risk of contamination and damage; suitable for ports and patch cords, SM, MM, UPC and APC connections
- LightBeat™ flashes to indicate operation and battery status; powers off after five minutes to preserve battery (2xAAA, included)
- Two-year warranty

VisiFault™ Visual Fault Locator - Cable Continuity Tester |
Locates fibers, finds faults, verifies continuity and polarity
- Locates visual faults including tight bends, breaks and bad connectors
- Easily verifies polarity and identifies fibers
- Features continuous and flashing modes
- Ergonomic case survives drops, impacts and vibrations
Fiber QuickMap™ |
MultiMode Fiber Distance and Fault Locator
- Quickly and efficiently locate connections and breaks in multimode fiber
- No setup required - connect your fiber and press “Test”
- Six-second test time—no more blind troubleshooting that can waste hours
- Large backlit display shows loss in dB and distance in meters or feet
- Tests 50/125µm and 62.5/125µm multimode fiber up to 1,500 meters / 4,921 feet
Fiber Launch and Tail Cables |
Launch & tail cables are designed to be used in conjunction with an OTDR to characterize a fiber link. A launch cable should be used between the OTDR’s port and the link under test to allow the characterization of the first connector. A tail cable should be used at the far-end of the link to allow the characterization of the far-end connection.
- Rugged, convenient zipper case, designed for use with our T-Pak magnetic / hanger / hook and loop strap
- Features the Durable Fluke Metal LC connector
- Terminated with reference grade connectors in accordance with standards
- Multimode (62.5 µm and 50 µm) or Single-mode (9 µm) kits
- Supports LC, SC, ST, FC, LC-APC, SC-APC and E2000-APC connections
- Cord length: 105 m (MM), 160 m (SM)
Fiber Test Reference Cords |
Test reference cords (TRCs) are used for certifying cabling systems in accordance with standards. They are different than fiber optic patch cords used for normal day to day patching.
- Color Coded for Use with CertiFiber™ Pro: Reduces Setup Errors
- Features the Durable Fluke Metal LC connector
- Reference grade connectors
- Multimode TRCs are used in conjunction with Fluke Networks Encircled Flux multimode compliant sources
- Kits available for Multimode (62.5 µm and 50 µm) or Single-mode (9 µm)
- Supports LC, SC, ST, FC, LC-APC, SC-APC and E2000-APC
- Each kit contains 4 each, 2 m cords
