Network Connectivity IP address ping results - DTX-NSM

The overall Network Connectivity IP address ping results are indicated to the left side of the results screen for the devices listed.

Here is a list of the network addresses used during the test:

          DTX Address
Gateway: Address of the network device that joins networks using different protocols or passes data between networks
DHCP Server: Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol server address (shown only in DHCP mode)
DNS Server: Domain Name System server address

Note: In DHCP mode, the addresses are shown as 0.0.0.0 if the DHCP server does not provide them.

The green colored check mark on the left side of the results screen shown below indicates the ping request and replies results were successful. Five pings were sent and 5 replies were received - 5/5.

The Ping results are measured by the following indicators:

Green colored check mark: Ping replies received for all requests - 5/5
Orange colored check mark: At least one ping reply received - 1/5
Red X: No ping replies received - 0/5

Additional information:

  • To save the ping results, press SAVE.
  • Ping results are saved as part of the connectivity results.
  • Since ping requests are low-priority traffic, devices may not respond to all requests.
  • To evaluate ping times, you should compare current results with results taken when the network was operating normally.
