Deadzone - CableIQ

What is a deadzone?
This is an area where the tester is unable to identify the location of the fault. The tester can tell you there is an open for instance, but not where it is,

Unlike many time domain measurement systems, the CableIQ unique time domain measurement system has no dead zone when measuring length or distance to an open or short. There is a very small window of approximately one meter from the instrument in which sensitivity for detecting Signal Performance faults is reduced in order to make appropriate channel transmission measurements.
