Fluke Networks has been a leading provider of solutions that help IT organizations more effectively optimize business services delivery through broad visibility and deep analysis capabilities that allow enterprises to deploy, manage, solve and optimize performance across their entire organization.

Banking
We have worked with the banking industry since 1993 to help them maximize network uptime, support hundreds of remote sites and manage the growing number of applications traversing their network.

Below is a link to case studies for Comerica, one of the 20 largest banks in the U.S., Provident Bank, the second largest independent bank in the United States and Merchants Bank, a community bank with 35 outlets.

Comerica - Comerica needed the ability to reliably deliver an increasing volume of data, audio and video traffic while ensuring the integrity of the network to deliver time-sensitive, mission-critical transactions all the while proactively monitoring and managing a complex and diverse infrastructure. Provident Bank - Comerica needed to ensure the integrity and performance of the rapidly-growing network and applications infrastructure. The IT team needed to support day-to-day operations, while looking to capitalize on new technologies such as voice VoIP to improve the productivity of employees and the health of Provident’s top and bottom-line. Read More->->

North Island Credit Union - North Island Credit Union is one of the largest financial institutions in San Diego County, California and utilized a converged voice and data wide area network (WAN) comprised of Cisco routers, switches, and call managers. Their IT staff had to deal with intermittent voice echo problems on the VoIP system. Read More->->

Merchants Bank - Merchants needed a better understanding of bandwidth on its 35-branch frame relay network, prior to the roll out of a centralized retail banking application. Their solution was to create performance metrics that enabled them to troubleshoot faults. Read More->->

Manufacturing

Fluke networks has worked with a variety of manufacturing companies over the years. Below is a handful of example from companies that had a specific need to manage diverse networks within a global organization.

Video Jet Technologies - Video Jet Technologies, a printing, coding, and product identification company based in Wood Dale, Illinois, faced a significant hurdle: manage the complex global corporate network without a true performance management solution. Videojet’s legacy tools included freeware, a trial version of a product called Scrutinizer, and capabilities developed in-house. Read More->->

BSS Group - Plumbing and heating supplies company The BSS Group PLC is implementing a £2M plus upgrade to move to an IP-based voice and data service at its 270 trading branches in the UK and Ireland. BSS purchased a suite of Crannog's NetFlow Tracker, NetWatch and ISDNWatch to provide information on WAN link status and network activity, initially to prioritise which sites needed upgrading first, then later to identify problems as they occur.. J.M. Huber -
A global entity and one of the largest family-owned businesses in America, Huber relies extensively on its network to connect its many locations. Its network is mission-critical in nature, as its runs single-instance, global enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems that touch nearly every function of all of its businesses. A network outage or severe performance problems could have significant impact on its operations. “With the importance of our global network, we require granular visibility into the characteristics of our WAN traffic,” said Vince Solano, Chief Information Officer at Huber. “Like most enterprises we needed a solution that could manage major network-related issues and enable us to maximize availability, optimize bandwidth utilization and enhance security. Micronas -
Multinational semiconductor designer and manufacturer Micronas needed to monitor traffic on its WAN, several of whose lines were under heavy load, principally from inter-site traffic in very large CAD files. Initially, Crannog's NetWatch seemed ideal, but although it could show where overloads were occurring, it could not help identify the cause. NetFlow Tracker was then added to provide the necessary detail. Read More->->

Huntsman -
Multi-national chemical company Huntsman needed a better understanding of the activity on its international network, in order to investigate complaints about slow response times, chiefly from users of its extensive thin-client service. Following some ad hoc work to try and identify heavy traffic flows, Crannog Software's Monitor was sourced and installed at the company's data centres. Directly following installation, managers were able to trouble-shoot the network. Read More->->
