- 10 Gig Interface Monitoring via SNMP - now get visibility into 10G links
- AirMagnet® – wireless option now features the award-winning AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyzer
- Add-on options now included free of charge – wireless discovery, key device application performance tests
- PC/Analyzer “Pass-through” – allows more applications (such as VoIP softphones) to be run on the PC-side of the OptiView portable analyzer, allowing more flexibility and function
- Free NetAlly® Agent - Used in conjunction with the optional NetAlly software, this enables the OptiView analyzer to be an agent end-point when conducting NetAlly application analysis or VoIP assessments
OptiView Series III v5.3 new release features:
- Enhanced device discovery now includes IPv6 devices, VoIP devices from Cisco, Nortel, Avaya and Mitel, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Lightweight Access Points and Wireless Clients to assist in deployment and solving configuration issues
- Improved protocol recognition with a breakdown of ICMP messages (both IPv4 and IPv6), protocols running under IPv6 and identification of non well known protocols by displaying TCP and/or UDP port numbers with the ability to identify top hosts and conversations
- Remote device Log-In using SSH
- Application Troubleshooting option provides WIN server statistics, IPv6 application connectivity tests and TCP port scan
