Included in the Top 10 list … Fluke Networks’ OptiView Integrated Network Analyzer. As eWeek editor Cameron Sturdevant writes, the OptiView Integrated Network Analyzer “comes from a long line of durable, well-engineered network and data communications test and measurement tools. My tests of the product show that it provides good performance and a plethora of diagnostics.”

Xchange Online discusses how Big Pipe, a Canadian telecom provider, uses Fluke Networks’ OptiView Integrated Network Analyzer to test fiber and trim the cost of service calls “Regardless of the source of the issue …we always went to the site to find out what was wrong,” says Mike Hall, senior director of operations at Big Pipe. By using OptiView to check the customer’s network first, the company was able to cut repair time from eight hours to 20 minutes.
