Server and application availability do not always equate to end user performance. For this reason, SuperAgent monitors and reports on end user response time and availability, all from a single solution. While other products on the market utilize continuous pings and queries to monitor server and application availability, SuperAgent employs passive observations in the data center to determine when availability might be at risk. Only after application traffic drops off does SuperAgent go into active testing of the server and application availability. This saves server processing and network bandwidth. When SuperAgent determines that a server or an application is not available you will be alerted and provided with the quantitative measurements necessary to prove where the fault resides. For example, are all the servers down in the server farm, or just a few? Service Level Agreements that include availability can also be configured and monitored by SuperAgent for IT alignment with business goals.
