Packet analysis that takes place on the network core requires more than a good protocol analysis software like OptiView Protocol Expert; it requires optimized hardware that is capable of investigating high-speed network traffic on 10 Gigabit or aggregated 1 Gigabit Ethernet trunks. These high-speed segments are the optimum place to insolate problems associated with data or multimedia applications.


 

OptiView Link Analyzer supports line rate monitoring, capture and filtering for full duplex 1 Gigabit Ethernet links. The Xgig Analyzer has the same high-speed network support, but extends it to both 10 Gigabit and 1 Gigabit Ethernet links. When the time comes to troubleshoot on critical high-speed links, do not get caught dropping packets or misdiagnosing a problem due to incomplete information. Make sure that core network analysis includes OptiView Protocol Expert and either OptiView Link Analyzer or Xgig Analyzer.
