Fluke Networks’ OptiView Link Analyzer network monitoring device, combined with Protocol Expert Plus software, has been named winner of the 2005 Well-Connected Award in the category of Gigabit Analyzer Probe. Network Computing magazine announced the winners at the Networld+Interop 2005 conference and exhibition in Las Vegas, Nevada, May 2005.
The Well-Connected Awards honor the year's outstanding technology products and services. Winners are chosen by Network Computing’s Technology Editors from products that have been tested and evaluated in the magazine’s real-world Labs.

Network World's Clear Choice Test brings VoIP analysis tools to light
With the rush to deploy VoIP, there are new tools on the market designed to help the network monitor and troubleshoot the IP telephone environment to ensure call continuity. Network World looked at VoIP analysis tools from Agilent Technologies, Brix Networks, ClearSight Networks, Fluke Networks, Touchstone Technologies, Viola Networks and WildPackets.
“Fluke Networks’ OptiView package made a strong second-place showing by capturing a substantial amount of information on the VoIP calls.” The magazine also noted, “…the wealth of captured data available to the user is impressive.” The package also received top marks for its VoIP-level protocol detail and real traffic analysis.
