AirMagnet WiFi Analyzer 9.5 (PRO and Express) and AirMagnet Survey PRO 8.2 are now available. Both products provide expanded adapter support in addtion to the enhancements noted below.

With the Intel 6300 and Atheros XB112 adapters, users can monitor and troubleshoot Wi-Fi devices that employ three spatial streams and deliver performance at data rates up to 450 Mbps. As always, support for the Intel 5300 Wi-Fi Link adapter (announced in December 2009) to monitor 450 Mbps traffic continues to be available.

  • Redefined One-Touch Connection Test
    • Multimedia Testing Capability: Ability to test the quality of audio and video streaming. 18 different digital media file formats supported.

    • Concurrent tests across multiple destinations: Users have the ability to perform concurrent ping, ftp and http tests across multiple destinations.
    • New UI layout resulting in a crisp, clean interface to view the results of tests
    • WPA/WPA2-PSK Decryption – Enhanced troubleshooting capability achieved by decrypting WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK encrypted packets
    • WiFi Adapter Check Utility - A tool that verifies platform and adapter support has been introduced. Users can download this tool directly from the web site

    • Intel 802.11a/b/g/n 6300 adapters for 32-bit and 64-bit OS support on Windows 7 PCs
    • Qualcomm Atheros XB112 AR9380 11abgn PCle Mini-Card adapters for 64-bit OS support on Windows 7 PCs

    New vendor antenna patterns: provides a wider array of recognized antennas to choose from.This release includes new antenna patterns from vendors like Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, and Aerohive.

    Calibrate Raw Data: allows users to calibrate the signal value of raw data after the survey has been performed. Users can then compare multiple survey results conducted with different types of Wi-Fi client cards.
