Gold Member free software update for OptiView XG Network Analysis Tablet

OptiView XG Gold Members can now download the free OptiView XG v7.0.157.0 software update. Here are the enhancements and fixes available with the OptiView XG v7.0.157.0 software update:

• Runs in Win7 64bit environment
• Improved the accuracy of path analysis
• Added additional protocols to capture filters
• Enhanced Application Infrastructure test result presentation through auto-scaling of history chart.
• Improved search functionality
• Localized UI and help for Japanese and Chinese

OptiView Series III Portable Network Analyzer and Management Appliance v6.1.48 software update is now available for Gold Members

OptiView Series III Gold members can now download the free OptiView Series III v6.1.48 software update. These enhancements and fixes are available with the OptiView Series III v6.1.48 software update:

• Fix made to compensate for a defective SNMP agent in HP A5500 switches
• Fix to address traffic generation working in one direction only under certain conditions
• Fix for the application not booting when no SFP was installed
• Fix for discovery showing too many hosts based on stale ARP cache entries in switches
• Fix for negative time stamps on large packet captures
• Added a test to detect a hardware problem when the product becomes warm
• Change to pull LLDP information from the Port ID field on some devices when this information is not available in the port description field
• Fix to allow data import by OptiView Reporter 1.2

EtherScope Gold members can now download the free EtherScope v5.0.15 software update. These enhancements and fixes are now available with this update:

• Handling of VLAN tags during RFC 2544 downstream tests
• Reporting of upstream jitter in Provision reports
• Switch port identification when using the xDP Port Reporter tool with LLDP
• Frame description for "Layer 1 Fluke" type traffic within the Traffic Generator immediately after boot up.

OptiFiber Firmware Update

Update your OptiFiber with the latest v2.6.4 software release

OptiFiber v2.6.4 software is enhanced to provide test capability on singlemode fiber to beyond 5,000m without FAIL.  Supported fiber types and specifications are also updated to enhance the OptiFiber certification capabilities.  In addition, new and existing cables list are also refreshed to reduce the effort for customer to configure the OptiFiber.

DTX CableAnalyzer Firmware Update


New DTX CableAnalyzer v2.52 code available

Click here for instructions on how to update your DTX CableAnalyzer to the latest code 2.52. This maintenance release includes updates to the Cable Library, support for the new Patch Cord Adapter series, updated Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese standards. The full release notes can be found here. And for our Compact OTDR Module customers, don't forget to insert the OTDR Module into the DTX CableAnalyzer when you your update. The OTDR Module has its own software and gets updated whenever we do a code release.
